Longqing Gorge Day Trip

Itinerary

In the morning, Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 8:00am or 8:30am.
Drive to the Longqing Gorge (Known also as the "Lesser LiJiang river outside the Great Wall", it is one of Beijing's top 16 tourist sites). Enjoy the countryside view on the way, about 1.5 hours driving to get there.
From the entrance, takes the world's longest elevator ride (258m in 8 sections) to the top of the dam, then join a tour boat to enjoy the views and also stop off to visit historical sites along the way. It takes about 3 hours to tour all the scenic spots along the lake.
Have a traditional chinese lunch at local restaurant. Then drive back to your hotel at Afternoon or night.

* In winter, this area is transformed into a winter wonderland. During the Ice Lantern Festival, huge lanterns are carved from ice and colored lights are placed within creating a glowing spectacle that is particularly stunning at night, Children and adults alike can also enjoy sliding down the ice slides in this magical environment.
