Introduction on Xian
 
Xian is the capital of Shaanxi province, located in central of China, between the Weihe river in the north and the Qinling Mountains in the south. Xian is in a favorable geographical location surrounded by water and hills. It has a semi-moist monsoon climate and there is a clear distinction between the four seasons. Except the colder winter, any season is relatively suitable for traveling.
 
Xian is lies on a major rail route which runs from Lianyungang on the Yellow Sea via Urumqi in the Autonomous Region of Xinjiang and on to Kazakhstan. There are direct rail links with Beijing and Shanghai, and flights to most large Chinese cities as well as to Hong Kong. Xi'an is one of the north-west China's chief textile centres, where cotton grown in the artificially irrigated paddy-fields in the neighbouring countryside is treated and processed. Other major branches of industry are chemicals and engineering.
 
The Terra Cotta Warriors ands Horses

Xian is a eternal city, Called Chang'an in ancient times, During Xian's 3,100 year development, 13 dynasties placed their capitals here. as well as the abundant relics and sites, such as The Terra Cotta Warriors ands Horses is praised as 'the eighth major miracle of the world', Shanxi History Museum, a large modern museum of the national level, is situated 1km away, northwest of The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a giant architectural complex in the Tang-dynasty style.

   

Traditional downtown Xian refers to the area encircled by The City Wall, this has now been expanded to encompass the area within the second ring road. The Bell Tower is geographical center of Xian and the four main streets are respectively Dong Dajie, Xi Dajie, Nan Dajie and Bei Dajie which are also the main commercial streets. Xiao Zhai, the busiest commercial area is in the southern part of the city and is popular with both youths and students since many universities are located here.
