Guilin Municipal Tourism Bureau has entered into an agreement with World Tourism Organization for sharing Internet information.

According to the agreement, UNWTO will create an English webpage and place a "Guilin Tourism" button icon on its official website to introduce Guilin to global tourists. This is the first time that a Chinese tourism city has had an English webpage on UNWTO's official website.

In addition, Guilin Municipal Tourism Bureau and UNWTO will cover each other's events on their websites with column links on homepages; meanwhile the two will exchange travel news and information, deliver each other's travel information on their homepages, and link the sources. The two will also jointly work on the planning and promotion of some events on their sites.

Furthermore, UJNWTO will have a "UNWTO/PATA Tourism Trends and Research Conference, Guilin" icon on its website, and recommend tourism resources, products and important events in Guilin in its corresponding columns with the same design style as UNWTO's official website. -- (China Hospitality News, Apr.17, 2009)
