Beidahu Skiing Resort in Jilin

Beidahu Skiing Resort is located in the Songhua Lake area, It is an important ski sport base and tourist resort in China. Beidahu's advantageous location surrounded by mountains on three sides guarantee a comfortable weather conditions with very little to no wind in winter.. Skiers and snow boarders love Beidahu's varied terrain and enjoy its unpretentious alpine trails amidst peaks in the primitive forest.

   

Beishan Snow and Ice World situated in Beishan Park of Jilin city in Northeast China¡¯s Jinlin Province. It covers an area of 10 hectares. The ski field contains 2 trails, the 80- meter one is for beginners and the 206- meters long is for advanced skiers. A cable is set to take the visitors up to the top quickly. The perimeter of the skiing area is 635 meters and is divided into two areas. The inner area is free-style ski run and the outer one is high-speed ski run.

The Meteorite Museum located in Jiangnan Park exhibit 138 meteorite specimens which is 2616 kg. The biggest among these is 1775 kg which is the biggest meteorite all over the world. According to measurement, the matrix of Jilin meteorite was originally one of the planets of asteroid cincture between Mars and Jupiter in solar system which is about 4.6 billion years old.

   
Songhua Lake in Jilin
Songhua Lake is as wide as 480 square km and as long as over 200 km. The lake has a narrow and long shape which is 10 km wide upside and only half a km downside, winding along the mountains all the way. The Songhua Lake is as deep as 70 meters which can hold 1.1 billion steres water. It is also reputed as one of the biggest manmade lakes in China and definitely a perfect summer resort..
 
Songhua Lake Ski Resort in Jilin City is a famous ski spot in China. It lies along the Songhua Lake and against the foot of Qing Mountain which is 20 miles southeast of the Jilin city. It covers an area of 35 0000 square meters. Construction of the ski resort began in 1965 and finished in 1982. Songhua Lake Ski Resort held China¡¯s Sixth Winter Sports Competition. The freezing season in the resort can last for 150 days with little pollution, adequate snow and stable atmospheric pressure.
